Some Heard regions use an admission queue. If your account is queued, the app shows your current position instead of taking you straight into the main app.
Why the queue exists
The queue is there to help keep the app balanced in active regions. In current launches, women are admitted immediately and some men may be queued depending on the region rules.
ℹ️ Info
Being in the queue is a regional product rule, not a bug and not a reflection of your profile. Different regions have different admission rules, and they can change as a launch matures.
What you can see in the app
The current queue screen shows:
- Your current position
- The region you are queued in
- A prompt to enable notifications
- An option to invite friends with your affiliate code
The app does not currently show an estimated wait time, yesterday's position, or a guaranteed admission date.
What moves the queue
Queue movement depends on the admission rules configured for your region. In general, positions change as new spots open and the system admits more users.
The app does not currently promise:
- Queue acceleration from referrals
- Queue skipping from Heard+
- A published formula for how fast your position will move
What to do while you wait
Turn on notifications so the app can alert you when admitted
Share your affiliate code with friends who might want to try Heard
Check back in the app to see your latest position
Avoid deleting and reinstalling, which does not reset or improve your place in line
The queued experience is currently a dedicated queue screen, so profile-building features are not the main focus once you are already waiting for admission.
If you miss your spot
The current backend does not work like a traditional "claim your spot or drop to the back" waitlist. Queue status is managed server-side, and the app does not currently show a manual claim flow.
Common questions
Does paying for Heard+ skip the queue?▾
Will referring friends move me up faster?▾
Why was I queued but my friend wasn't?▾
Will my position update in real time?▾
Do all regions use a queue?
No. Queue behavior depends on the rules configured for a given region. Some regions may admit you immediately, while others may place you in line.
The short version
If you are in the queue, that is a product rule for your current region, not an app bug. The safest expectation is simple: watch your in-app position, keep notifications on, and do not rely on referral or subscription shortcuts that the app does not currently offer.
